Dear Parents, Here’s a sharing of a parent from High School which may bring back some memories of the day when we enrolled our children to PCA. We are sure each one of us has a unique story. Testimony When I was at a cross road to decide which Christian school I should send my child for JK, I decided to pay a visit to the schools and asked God to show me the path. At the first school, I asked the principal a few questions about its objective in God’s ministry through education. I did not quite get the answers that I expected. While I was a bit disappointed, I decided to visit PCA. While I was at the elementary office enquiring about the application, God showed me a scene that had impressed me so much. A student was not feeling well and was sent to the office. The secretary politely excused herself to attend to this little girl. While making herself comfortable and waiting for her parents to come, she took out her Bible and began to read it. This young elementary student chose to meditate on God’s word in her moment of weakness. Could this be a reflection of how my child will become one day? A child who draws strength from God during life’s tough trials? And then a picture in the office caught my eyes. It was a picture of a young boy holding his hands to pray. It was at this moment that I was convinced of God’s direction for me. God clearly showed me that this was where I should place my children so that they would develop a relationship and walk closely with God. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it – Proverbs 22:6” PCA had its first baptismal service for 6 students. The school did this because some students are from non-Christian families and they don't have a home church. These students were either converted since they joined PCA or re-dedicated their lives to Jesus since they came. Here’s a sharing of a family who where there to witness this wonderful moment. “I wish to congratulate the staff and specially Mr. Alex Philip and Mrs. Shirley Nanos for encouraging and helping the 6 students made their commitment to the Lord, by obeying in the waters of Baptism. Listening to the testimonies of the students who shared their past experience and struggles in life, and then talk about the wonderful life changing experience they have come to enjoy in Christ by committing their young lives to Jesus, is truly remarkable. I am sure there was a great party in heaven because of these 6 precious lives, who decided to follow Jesus, for the rest of their lives. As parents, it gave us great joy and pleasure witnessing this Baptismal Service and wish to urge all the praying parents and staff of PCA, to continue to uphold these 6 students and the many more, who are to follow this path of surrendering their lives to Jesus. We cannot forget the great influence the teachers at PCA have had on the lives of our children and cannot forget to mention the names of Mrs. Rena Gaile, Mrs. Beatrice Siu, Mrs. Jocelyn Paas, Ms. Shirley Nanos, and Mr. Daniel Thabet and many others. We appreciate the Christian emphasis and moral values that have been instilled in their young lives by the dedicated staff and pray their reward in heaven will be unfathomable!! God bless each and every staff member at PCA.” Did You Know The year end celebration is coming. Food ordering forms have been sent out and have to be returned before Tuesday (Jun 15) to facilitate our food preparation. Used books and uniform sales will be held on the same day. The flyers were out, and please contact us if you still have any question. Parents’ volunteer sign up sheet is up at the Founders Hall. We only need one hour of your precious time on that day.
