PAC Newsletter 2010 Issue #1

Our gracious Lord has answered our prayers. The Ontario Municipal Board has dismissed the appeal to our rezoning application for 245 Renfrew. Let's continue to pray for the financing arrangement for the relocation project so that renovation can start in the near future.
With the wonderful help from Willowdale Pentecostal Church, the elementary school can be operated out of one single location this academic year. So far, into the second week of school, operation has been smooth. However, there are a few things that require your cooperation:
For the high school side, let’s welcome Mr. David Broomer as our new high school principal. He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. His joining the school is truly God’s blessing to us all. We thank God for answering our prayers in a timely manner. Secondly, there will be study room / homework room open after school. Details can be found in the HS Communication today.
As a reminder, there is a Staff Support Fund set up and we can donate directly to help out our beloved teachers who have taken a pay cut to continue to serve our Heavenly Father. Simply drop off your cheque made payable to PCA at either the HS and ES offices in a marked envelope for “Staff Support Fund”. You can also donate online at http://www.pca.ca/advancement. Accumulated parents donations will be distributed to the staff as a one time bonus in May.
This year’s parent info night will be Sept 20 for ES and Sept 21 for HS. The PAC will set up a table on the evening of Sept 21 to answer your questions regarding the PAC. Also, if the spirit moves you to serve the school, we sincerely invite you to come join the PAC. Parent volunteers are always welcome and especially needed during this transitional period to our new home. We look forward to seeing you all!

- Please observe the kiss-n-ride rules. Do not park your cars (with the exception of JK/SK parents) to drop off your children. Crossing the parking lot can endanger yourself and others.
- Do not turn left (both into and out of WPC) in the morning. Remember there are other cars behind you.
- There are designated parking spaces for JK/SK parents (right beside the house across the church). You do not have to park too far away to walk your little ones over.
- Please make sure you pick up your children before 5:45 pm. Other people will be using the place after 6 pm. Do not leave them unattended. If you are going to be late, make sure you let Mr. Chu know or have someone to pick up your children and update your authorized list.
