Board Update Jan 25, 2011

Dear PCA families, staff, alumni and friends,
Praise the Lord we had a great meeting on Thursday night. About 100 PCA families and alumni joined us at the meeting. We spent the time discussing how God has blessed us in the last few years and we were reminded of the vision for His ministry. Please see the updated presentation from Thursday night’s meeting on our website http://www.pca.ca/content1.php?id=115.
In August 2010, OMB ruled in favour of PCA so Renfrew can now be built as a private Christian school. In the last few months we spent time getting the site plan endorsed and we are now close to getting the building permit and renovation started thereafter. We thank God for the progress and would like to move into Renfrew as soon as possible. Many people we talked to have indicated interest in attending PCA, but they want confirmation of the relocation to Renfrew. We are confident that after we move to Renfrew, registration will increase.
At this point, we only need the funds for renovation. To be compliant with CRA policy regarding charitable organizations and renovations on leased properties, we are now setting up a corporation to allow PCA families, alumni and friends to invest. The money raised will be used to fund the renovation and in return PCA will pay 6.5% interest annually. So far, we have over $600,000 committed for this corporation and are counting on every one to support the school at this important time.
Can we count on you?
We all love the school and would like to see it established in its home eventually. Our God is gracious and we trust that nothing is too big or too difficult for Him.
