Dear PCA Parents and Alumni Members,

Call for Directors

The PCA Board would like to open the call for directors from November 26, 2012 to December 21, 2012. This year, two (2) Parent Directors from the Parent Members and one (1) Alumni Director from the Alumni Members are to be elected. The election of directors will be finalized in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will be held in January / February 2013.

We pray that the Lord will raise up godly servants who is zealous to see His glory manifested in PCA. Just like how David is zealous to build a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob, we invite those who have a burden to see the young generation trained up in the Lord to serve on the Board of Directors of PCA.


Our young generation is bombarded by many anti-God messages. How can we train up young people with a firm foundation in the Word of the Lord and foster a commitment deep in their heart to serve Lord with their whole life is a daunting task. Please pray and consider carefully your commitment to serve God in the capacity of a PCA Director for a term of three years.

PCA Directors will not receive any remuneration other than the reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred in performing their duties.

Parent Director will be elected by the Parent Members; Alumni Director will be elected by the Alumni Members. The timeline for election of directors is as follows:

Call for director candidates                     Nov 26 to Dec 21, 2012
Review of candidates’ application           Dec 22, 2012 to Jan 6, 2013
Interview of director candidates              Jan 7 to 11, 2013
Posting of bio and video                           Jan 14 to 17, 2013

According to the PCA By-Law sub-section 6.03, “each director shall be a Christian who maintains the qualifications described in I Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-16”. The current PCA Board in conjunction with the Nominating Committee reserves the right to assess the eligibility of an applicant to stand for election.

All applicants must register as a member of PCA.

Candidates of PCA Directors are required to complete the following:

• Read the PCA By-Laws, in particular, Article 6 on Directors.
• Fill out an Application for Directorship.
• Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with PCA.
• Carefully read and sign the PCA Statement of Faith.
• Sign the consent form for videotaping the interview of the director candidate.
• Provide one reference from your spouse, if married.
• Provide an official letter from the pastor of your home church, confirming that you are in good standing with the local church and are fit for ministry.
• Provide one written reference by a third party.
• Criminal record check (It takes 2 weeks to process. Please do this as soon as possible.)

When you have the foregoing documents completed, please send them to the attention of Christina Lam by December 21, 2012 at 245 Renfrew Drive, Markham, Ontario, L3R 6G3.


If you love the Lord and love His Word, if you sense God’s calling for you to serve Him in the PCA ministry, we encourage you to stand for election as a PCA director.

Please pray that the Lord will raise up people of His own choosing to serve on the Board.
