Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) | 2010-02-19

Dear parents,
Here's a heart felt sharing from a parent that loves her child, the school, the teachers, the staffs, and has been diligently praying to God for the relocation of school to move forward. We all need to do our parts.
Testimony
"One of the board members said last year during the AGM that the economic recession came like a blessing in disguise. We can borrow at historically low interest rates. There's a part 2 to this blessing. Miraculously, the Canadian stock market has rebounded over the year and most of us have recuperated all our losses. Not to make it sound too materialistic, God has blessed us with all these worldly possessions, isn’t this the time to offer back to what originally belongs to Him?"
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21
Isn't it all our dreams to have a new school with better facilities, and more green space? Isn't it all our dreams to have our children in a school with better cafeteria and after school program? Isn't it all our dreams to send our children to a school with good quality education, safe environment, caring teachers, an opportunity to know God, and to establish friendships with a group of people that share the same values? Also, parents from north, isn't your dreams to not drive southbound in the morning anymore?
Let's all take a look at the We love PCA Club. If we all chip in $10,000, and if we have 200 families doing so, we will have $2 million, right away, and our dreams will come true. We get a 5% off the tuition fees for the next 5 years, and we get our money back in 2015. It's a win-win situation, why not?
The PAC invites all parents to be faithful and act on it. In the coming weeks, please send us your sharing and thoughts to PAC@pca.ca, and we hope that this will inspire more parents to respond.
