Q. What makes Peoples Christian Academy unique?A. PCA was established in 1971 and has a very high standard of spirituality, academically, socially and discipline. Our staff works closely with each family to create a positive, unique and experiential school community. We are a registered non-profit organization and Mission-based initiatives are encouraged in all our grade levels.
Q. Are all teachers properly qualified?
A. Yes. All teachers have their Bachelor of Education or equivalent and are certified to teach in Ontario. Some have higher education degrees and some are even PCA alumni.
Q. Do all PCA families belong to one denomination?
A. No. There are many different churches and denominations represented in our school. Students from non-Christian families are welcomed and accepted at our school, provided they agree to our Statement of Faith and abide by our school policies. Approximately 20% of our student population is non-Christian.
Q: Are your tuition fees tax deductible?
A: Yes, because Peoples Christian Academy is a faith-based school that is also a registered Canadian charitable organization, an official donation receipt can be issued for the portion of tuition fees paid by a family in excess of the secular training cost (calculated as cost per student x number of children enrolled with PCA). For additional questions please contact us.
Q. Does your school accept donations?
A. Yes. All donations above $10.00 qualify for a tax receipt as we are a non-profit organization.
Q: What are PCA’s Homework Expectations?
A: Homework is a necessary component to academic success, so it is imperative that students complete their work in a timely fashion in order to see that success. Students should use the agenda book to remain organized and focused. If a student is absent from a class, it is the student’s responsibility to obtain the assignment and make the necessary arrangements with the teacher in order to complete the work.
